Kerry Novak

February 16, 1972  –  March 31, 2026

On April 11th 2026, close family, friends, and members of her community honored the late Kerry Novak at a Catholic Funeral Mass (Requiem Mass) held at The Parish of St. Patrick in Bayshore, NY. Her son, Jack, delivered the following Eulogy at the commencement of the service:

Thank you all for coming on this solemn day.

My parents were married in this church on Sept 3, 1994.  My father went to St Patrick’s elementary school, right next door.

However, as an aside, suffice to say,

he was not Altor boy material.

My mother was always there for our family,     in her special way.

She was a blessing to us and everyone that knew her.  She was the definition of a go -getter. She was also a lesson on how to be courageous.

No one else worked as hard as she did,

spoke like her,

acted like her, or was so original in the way she did things. No one we knew had a better sense of self.

My father took such delight in her spirit and drive. Everyone they encountered in business would say to my dad…“You do not know how lucky you are to have Kerry.”

Her love for her family was deep and unqualified. She reveled in their accomplishments;

she hurt with their sorrows;

she felt sheer joy and delight in spending time with them.

At the mere mention of one of their names, my mom’s eyes would shine brighter and her smile would grow bigger.

When it came to business, my mom was unstoppable.

She had a wonderful sense of humor — And in spite of all of her illness,

she never faltered.

She was a fighter….to the end.

My mother was too young to die.

Her grandson brought new joy to her at the end of her life.

At the end, she worried more about us than herself.

In truth, she did everything she could –

and more — for each of us. She was a magnificent wife, a mother, a grandmother, a sister, and friend.

For those who knew and loved her — she graced our lives.
